We purchased ALISHA at the 2004 Neumunster Approvals and
Auction. After seeing her trot around the ring for just a few minutes, we
knew she was "the one". With every step she displayed incredible
reach with amazing power and suspension. We sent time with her in her stall
and she was always quiet, sweet, and enjoyed the attention. We were so excited
to be able to purchase a mare of her quality. ALISHA was
inspected in the Rhineland, and is a Premium mare with 56 points, one of
the 3 most highly rated mares of her year. ALISHA stayed
in Germany through the spring of 2005, and was bred to IN PETTO (by BUDDENBROCK), before being imported to Canada.
Update: ALISHA had a stunning filly in
the beginning of February. AVA will be black and as beautiful
as her dam.
Update: ALISHA has been inspected and
approved by the Oldenburg Verband, entering into the Main Mare book with
very good marks. Her beautiful filly Avangeline was awarded premium status.

remain open for 2007 in order to start a performance career as well.
UPDATE: ALISHA was started under saddle the winter of 2007 and could not have been easier. Within a few weeks she was W/T/C very nicely in the ring. She was very happy to work and was lovely to ride. ALISHA is now in foal to the SANDRO HIT son SWAROVSKI, due May 25th,2009. Please see his video here.
UPDATE: ALISHA is the proud mother of her darling chestnut filly SOPHINA, born May 2009. Sophie is everything we hoped for from this cross- she has loads of reach and an active hind end. She is a real sweetheart as well!
UPDATE: ALISHA is in foal to the Grand Prix Oldenburg stallion SANSISCO, due June 15, 2011.

Sire Line:
ALISHA is by the Elite Stallion FRIEDENSFURST (deceased 2001). This beautiful chestnut stallion was the first Trakehner
ever to be approved by the Hanoverian breed before his licensing with the
Trakehner Verband. He was stabled at the famous Gestut Vorwerk in Cappeln,
Germany, where he was ridden to the Prix St. Georges level by Nicole Uphoff,
then to the Grand Prix level with Lisa Wilcox. He sadly died of heart failure
at the young age of 11. An extremely versatile sire, FRIEDENSFURST left behind champion dressage horses, 8 State Premium mares, and 2 approved
sons, PATMOS and LUCKE. LUCKE was awarded a perfect "10" for his jumping ability at his stallion
performance test. FRIEDENSFURST's daughter BANDERA was 4th at the 2003 Bundeschampionate in the 3 year old division, and was
named 2003 Trakehner Mare Champion of the Year in Neumunster. A video clip of FRIEDENSFUERST can be found here.
Because of his high performance test marks and his top quality offspring,
the Trakehner Verband awarded FRIEDENSFURST the Elite Stallion
title in 2003.
FRIEDENSFURST was by RONDO. A FEI level
jumper himself, RONDO is well known as a producer of excellent
jumping horses. He was highly used in the Hanoverian breed as an "improver"
sire, adding type, soundness and athletic ability. RONDO also sired the popular imported ATA Trakehner stallion GRADITZ,
who recently passed away.
RONDO's sire, SCHABERNACK, was the sire
of 10 approved sons.

ALISHA's dam is the State Premium mare ARANJA,
who was best 3 year old at the central mare grading in 1994 with an incredible
58 points. ARANJA is by the Elite Stallion MICHELANGELO.
MICHELANGELO is one of the Trakehner breeds' top stallions.
He has shown to the Grand Prix level in dressage, and was awarded Elite
status in 2003. He sired the champion stallion KENNEDY and the premium stallion GUY LAROCHE out of his first foal
crop, and has sired many stallion sons since, as well as numerous champion
premium mares. He has one of the highest breeding indexes ever, and is known
for passing on beautiful, athletic performance horses with the best temperament. MICHELANGELO is out of the elite mare MIAMI by MATADOR, by the highly influential Thoroughbred PASTEUR
XX.
ALISHA's third dam is the best HABICHT daughter, the black ARWETTA. ARWETTA was
a multiple show winner at the national level and dam of four Approved stallions, ARSENAL, ARON, ARGUMENT and ARGONAUT.
