Elbe, from the Mare Family ETIKETTE, is a State
and Verband Premium mare with the marks, 9,8,7,7,8,8,8. She was reserve
champion at her inspection, reserve champion at the state show in Hessen
in 1991, and successfully passed her mare performance test.
ELBE had been a member of the broodmare herd at the famous
Webelsgrund stud in Germany, where she produced many outstanding foals.
Her daughter ELBENAU is a Premium Mare and, in 1996, won
the Trakehner Championships in North Germany against approx. 50 mares. The
comment was: " Due to her exceptional qualities in movement and rideability,
the new "mare queen" of 1996 is ELBENAU by EH CAPRIMOND
out ELBE by EH ANDUC". 2 sons
of ELBE were sold as potential FEI level driving horses.
Since being in Canada, ELBE has had 2 lovely foals- the first a beautiful bay colt (EXPRESSO) by EH MICHELANGELO, and then a gorgeous bay filly (ESABELLA) by our own HIGH KNIGHT. (please see ESABELLA's page for more pictures)
We have decided to keep her filly and find a loving home for ELBE.
She is very good to work with, foals easily, and both times we bred her
(here and in Germany), she caught the first time. She is open for 2005.
A culture was done in the late summer and it was clean. She is sound, and
could also be ridden. With her amazing proven bloodlines, we are sure ELBE
will be a great asset to anyone's breeding program.

Sire Line-
ELBE is by the fabulous Elite stallion EH ANDUC,
well known for producing beautiful horses with high rideability. He has
sired a large number of successful dressage horses. His sire, EH
MARDUC, a Grand Prix dressage horse, was once rated as the #1 Trakehner
stallion in the world with a dressage index of 155. 3 out of his 16 approved
sons and grandsons have achieved Elite status- the stallions HERZZAUBER,
INDUC, and EH ANDUC.

Dam Line-
ELBE's dam, ELBE III, is also dam to EDELMANN,
a Grand Prix dressage horse. ELBE III was one of the last
daughters of the famous Trakehner stallion HARTUNG, a very
important sport horse producer who sired a large number of advanced jumpers,
as well as several approved sons. HARTUNG can be found
in the pedigrees of many top sires, including EH SOKRATES
and SIR CHAMBERLAIN.
