HIGH KNIGHT was purchased in Germany at the Neumunster
Trakehner Approvals in October, 2002. He was being sold as a 3 year old
riding horse and impressed us with his calm nature, swinging movement,
wonderful balance, and of course, his good looks! After his purchase (thank
you Maren!), he continued light training at the Horstein stud until his
export to Canada in the spring of 2003.
HIGH KNIGHT is in training with Christine Blackie in
Vancouver. His first show was at Thunderbird June 2-4th. He did very well
in his tests, showing at Training level 3 and 4 and First level 1, with
scores from 65- 72%, and was Reserve Training level champion. He also
scored 8 for gaits. His next show will be Amherst in the beginning of
July.
HIGH KNIGHT is coming along very nicely in his training,
and is quiet and easy to handle in the barn. A top prospect for the dressage
ring.

Dam Line
High Day was the best 4 year old at the Mare performance Test
in 1992, where she was test ridden by Ingrid Klimke. (Her sire is the
1977 champion stallion Amadeus, a beautiful, yet heavier
bay stallion descending from the immortal Ibikus line).
(High Day's dam, Humanita, is a full
sister to High Noon, Champion Trakehner stallion in 1981.)
Amadeus was the champion of his Approvals in 1977, and
lived at the world famous Horstein stud. He was an excellent dressage
competitor with an outstanding quiet temperament and was also used as
the riding horse of the farm owner’s family. Amadeus
was a “mare producer”. He had a great number of excellent
daughters, such as Eliza V who received marks of 9, 8,
8, 10, 9. His most famous daughter is the mare Freundin,
who is the dam of 2 champion stallions Farinelli (1996)
and Freudenfest (1999), both by Tolstoi.
AMADEUS's sire is the outstanding performance stallion
KASSIBER. He stood at the Langels' Haemelschenburg Stud
after being selected as a Class 1 stallion at his Approvals, and being
Class 1 at his stallion Performance Test. After producing some excellent
horses in Germany, he was sold to Australia, where he was Australian Event
Champion in 1983.
KASSIBER's sire is the immortal Trakehner stallion
IBIKUS.
Ibikus was renowned for passing on his amazing gaits
and impeccable movements. Ibikus was four times winner
of the German riding horse championship, and 1st at his stallion performance
test. He was successful in dressage competitions up to the FEI level.
In 1976 Ibikus was sold to Denmark as an improver for the Danish warmblood
and had a huge impact there. Ibikus is the sire of 12
approved sons. Known as a “marker” stallion, Ibikus genetic
traits are responsible for the performance capabilities of sport horses
all over Europe.
