TROPIC LIGHT (TL) was purchased in Germany in 2001. She
was inspected and approved as a Premium Mare that fall with 54 points. We
kept her in Germany and bred her to Elite Sire SIXTUS in
the spring of 2002 before bringing her to Canada.
TL produced a lovely big bay colt (TRADEMARK, please see
the sales horse page) the following April, and she was bred to HIGH
KNIGHT for a 2004 foal.
TL has had 2 beautiful foals for us and is now ready to start her performance
career. She has wonderful elastic gaits with lots of lift and suspension,
steps under well from behind, and always moves with rhythm and balance.
Although she is still relatively green, TL is going nicely under saddle
and is lovely to ride. A sweeter mare would be hard to find!
Bloodlines
Sire Line:
TL is one of very few daughters of the former Champion
Stallion GLANZLICHT. Approved in 1994, GLANZLICHT
was winning at Grand Prix dressage at the age of 8. He is known as a sire
of dressage and driving horses and has since been sold to Great Britain.
GLANZLICHT's sire is ORDENSGLANZ, a 1966
stallion who produced many top horses, including the popular stallions ARGONAUT
and ARGUMENT. ARGUMENT is the sire of
the very successful Grand Prix dressage horse ANTHONY FRH,
ridden by Isabel Werth. ORDENSGLANZ descends from the immortal
BURNAS AAH line. (HABICHT).
GLANZLICHT's dam was by the Elite Stallion CONSUL,
who is known for producing excellent daughters and superior riding horses
.

TL's dam TROPE combines 2 of the top Trakehner
Sires/Bloodlines of the past years, MAHAGONI, by PASTEUR
XX; and DONAUWIND by PREGEL.
TL's great-grand dam, the outstanding mare TRACHT, is from
the mare line of TRAVIATA and by the exceptional Thoroughbred
Stallion PRINCE ROUGE XX.
