VICEROY (TAZ) was imported in utero from
Germany in the fall of 2003, and was born in the middle of March 2004. He
has been a "people horse" right from the beginning, and impresses
with his calm unflappable temperament and curious nature. He has very correct
conformation, straight legs, and 3 lovely gaits, with an especially good
canter. We were thrilled to be able to breed to his sire, and could not
be happier with the results. As far as we know, TAZ is
the only purebred gelding in North America by ALTER FRITZ.
TAZ is developing nicely and will be lightly started under
saddle in the fall.

SIRE LINE:
TAZ's sire is the powerful, handsome black Approved Premium
Trakehner stallion ALTER FRITZ. ALTER FRITZ
was reserve champion at the Trakehner Championships for young riding horses
at Stein-Brockhagen, and is successful in dressage classes to the advanced
level. He is known for his elastic, swinging movement and unbeatable temperament,
all of which he passes onto his foals.
In 2001, ALTER FRITZ had his first son approved at Neumunster,
the elegant black stallion CHABROL. ALTER FRITZ
is also sire to the successful Premium and State Premium mares STARLETT
and SANKT HELENA, as well as the full sisters GRETO
GARBO and GRACIA PATRIZIA , who both won the Championship
at their Mare Approvals, as well as State Premium status.

ALTER FRITZ's sire is the Premium stallion CHARDONNAY.
He was reserve champion of the Bundeschampionat in 1993, and was Trakehner
dressage champion in 1995. He was already winning advanced level dressage
classes at the young age of 7, and has sired a number of top dressage horses.
CHARDONNAY's pedigree boasts some of the most important
sires in the breed today, including the Elite Stallions ROCKEFELLER
and CONSUL, as well as MAHON, son of the
legendary MAHAGONI.

ALTER FRITZ's dam is the beautiful State Premium mare AGATHA
CHRISTIE, by KOKOSCHKA. She was Reserve Champion
of the Regional Broodmare Show in 1994, and highly placed at the National
Broodmare Show. Her dam, ARENA IV, was also a State Premium
mare, with the high marks of 9,8,8,9,8. ARENA IV goes back
to the eventing sire HABICHT, sire of Olympic Event stallion
WINDFALL.
